It is very hard staying up with the latest technology from Cd's to ipods to iPhone it keeps on going. I get use to doing the same thing and sometimes the first is the best. Technology is great and it will be interesting to see what inventions they will come out with in the next 50 years. I think it would be good if they just slowed down a bit and before all of the technology causes us to have an apocalypse like on terminator.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103064/

This movie is a great movie. It is terminator II judgement day this is a movie in which technology ends up taking over the world. The computers and robots kill humans and cause mass-hysteria. It causes an atom-bomb war when the entire world blows each other up. This is an example to the extreme but it is a good example. This is why I think we should slow down the development of technology to learn repercussions first.

Thomas Barnett

Thomas Barnett points out some very intersting ways in which war and peace should be separated. One of his comments was, "you can't expect to fight a war one day and have peace the next." That is very true in many ways of life not only with the soldiers but with everyday people. You can't beat up a friend and expect them to like you the next day. His concepts aren't completely widely know, or comprehendable to the average person. His idea of seperating the department of defense into two different branches is a great in my opinion. I think his method would greatly reduce the number of casulties in war, both civilan and soldiers. I do like the way that he uses a sense of humor to entertain you, and keep you intersted in his topic. It is a great Ted talk.

Blog 8a Jeff Hann

Jeff Han's invention is remarkable a multi-touch, high resolution computer screen. He is truly amazing I don't even know where to begin, on how difficult it must have been to be created. You can use all 10 fingers to make dots, draw images, anything you want. It is very amazing that someone is smart enough, to figure out how to do this. The coolest part about it is that the keyboard is on the computer screen also. You can adjust the keyboard size to ergonomically fit to the size of your hand. Which eliminates Repetitive Stress injuries due to the unatural conformity of the keyboard with the size of your hand. It will be interesting if his invention will change the way we use computers. It will be very interesting to see if our generations children will be using the multi-touch, high resolution computer screen in our schools, and every day life.

Week 7 Blog William Kamkwamba

This is truly an amazing feat this boy at the age of fourteen has developed a windmill from spare parts to power his home. That is truly amazing, he is similar to Thomas Edison in a way, he was not looked upon as having no real intelligence and he developed something so remarkable. Thomas Edison invented the light bulb and William Kamkwamba developed a windmill to power his home. He is not just stopping with that, he plans to build a large windmill that is powerful enough to provide electricity to his entire village. He is a kid with a dream and he has turned into a celebrity as a result. This man will probably eventually help the world with green house gas emissions by going green and rely less on oil and more on the natural forces of nature. If he has done all of this by the age of nineteen, there is no telling what he will do in the future.
<img width='1' height='1' I think the people who con you into these bogous acts, making false claims and stealing your money should be put in jail for a long time. It is just common when you think you are putting money into a fund and it is really just going into someones pocket. Like after hurricane Katrina you heard information all over the news to be careful of internet scam artists. It is wrong when thousands of people have just died and you are making false claims to turn a profit you should be ashamed. Internet Scam artists should be required to pay double of what they stole from that individual. Put in prison for at least 10 years.

David Bolinsky's Ted Talk

I think that the inside of the human body is really similar to the human life that we have here on earth. I say that because all of the cells, molecular molecules, proteins, etc... work together together to make your body keep on living. Here on earth, each and every organism has a niche that another species relys on to survive. For example without trees we wouldn't be able to survive, because we wouldn't have oxygen to breathe.
Your heart is really the center of the universe or the sun. Every thing relys on that one thing to survive. We rely on the sun in nature for photosynthesis for the food that we eat. In your body if it wasn't for heart none of the other organisms would live. They are all responsible for the different tasks and living in different places. It is almost like they are different countries living in their own climatological places like the stomach, kidneys etc... They are living on their part of their globe minding their own business with out the other half knowing anything. I did this because I think we should do something for alternative fuel sources before we use all of our natural resources up. We have used biological principles for growing corn and as a result we have probably increased the production per acre of corn by seven fold since the early 1900's. This is a result by Norman Burlock which has probably fed more people than any man alive. He used biological principles towards seeds and brought and end to the severe famine in India and China which now have statues of him. Which now export grain out of their countries.
What is oil, gas and coil? They are concentrated sunlight. How do you farm oil, gas, and oil? We use a brute force approach and we consistelently get bigger, destroying the environment further and further each time. He wants to know can we grow our energy as effectively, as we grow wheat? He mentions some interesting ideas during his speech. He supposively says it may be possible by splitting genes and condonons by taking one cell and another cell and creating our own energy. He also mentions using biology to turn organic material into energy. According to this site, he does just that one month after this speeech.

Class Content Blog

I use internet in education by blogging, and e-mail to communicate with my professor. I think that because we are not creating new and interesting out of the ordinary information. We just go to class for the same amount of time everyday and learn basically the same amount of time. The teachers don't drastically suprise us and take us on an interesting field trip out of school pertaining to the information in their class. We walk in to class with our books and sit down in our seats and listen to the same identical information over and over. We have ciriculums of learning that we must follow we have to have the required amount of math, science, and english each year to go to the next grade. Some people think differently so you have to creativly adjust to each persons strengths and weaknesses. What we can do is have many class opportunities in every school and let the students pick what they want learn about, not what the teachers are paid to teach us. We need stop being afraid of being wrong, just like Sir Ken Robinson said. We Americans are afraid to be wrong. It is very true because if you are sitting in class and answer the teacher wrongly they get mad and fuss at you for not paying attention in class. So then in the future we just don't raise our hands so we don't have to be afraid of being wrong. It is really the teachers fault because they didn't teach creatively enough to make it click in your brain for you to remember when the question is asked upon in the future.<div
